A few interesting things for the Aussies reading. I had a fair few Americans laughing at me over the past 2 weeks - they don't know what the following words are/mean and found it quite amusing:
- sunnies (sunglasses)
- maccas (mcdonalds)
- brekkie (breakfast)
- bogan (poorly dress, scraggly person)
- pluggers (thongs, flip-flops)
- fortnight (2 weeks)
- bottolo (bottle shop, liquour store)
- double "insert number here" (2 x "number")
They don't really have a slang.. So there wasn't much I didn't get.
