My last week in Los Angeles was definitely a big one. I packed in shopping (new sunnies - Ray Ban Wayfarers, CK watch, clothes, shoes... I couldn't help myself. The country is going into recession so they put 50% off price tag on everything!). A trip to disneyland, clubbing and helping a friend move apartment.
Disneyland was awesome. If you're in LA it's a must-do no matter how old you are. The rides were fantastic and the disney parade bought back wonderful childhood memories of my love of cinderella and the little mermaid.
Les Deux, hottest club in LA, was pumping the night before July 4. Everyone was out having a great night dancing, drinking and chatting away. You have to pay to sit in a booth (rent it for the night) so naturally, you try make friends with the rich kids from the OC and hope they ask you to sit. I've never seen so many beautiful people in one place. Definitely a night to remember - it was a great send off for my next big adventure. I'll be back in LA no doubt. I just need to save up as I'm sure I'll return back home with zero funds.
I have just arrived into Manchester and realise that for an Aussie, it's rediculously expensive! Prices are the same as everything back home, just change the dollar symbol to pound. I have divided my savings into about a third (credit card fees add up) so I'm not sure how that'll last as I could easily spend that amount in 2 weeks.
Ah well, I'm a poor student living on the edge. What a life!
Until next time...
