Going global

I've decided to create a blog to keep record of my journey overseas. I'm hoping others will find enjoyment from reading about my travels and experiences as I jet set across the globe.

How it started:
I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the EDAW Intern Program in Los Angeles. Being a part of this program is very exciting as I will be working with some of the worlds top student designers from a range of universities including Harvard, Penn, Cardiff, Hong Kong and Cornell. Our brief (in a nut shell) is to create an urban design solution that addresses the current fragmentation and disconnectedness of the city of LA. I'm hoping that as a team we can create innovative and sustainable outcomes that project a vibrant future for the city and the community. This workshop will be intensive but I look forward to the challenge. For further information check out the website: www.edaw.com/intern08

After LA:
After the LA workshop I will be heading to EDAWs Manchester office to intern there for 3 months. As I don't fly home till late November I have some time to spare. I will be heading to London to stay with a friend and enjoy the city that so many have fallen in love with. I would like to fly across to Paris, Budapest or even Amsterdam.. however my funds will more than likely dictate my movements.

I'll keep you posted if you continue to check this blog.

Signing off.
